Auth Florence Vertical Mailboxes are designed for use in small, multi-family buildings. Meeting USPS STD-4B+ standards, these mailboxes have stronger compartment locks and master doors which better resist common methods of tampering. They are
ideal replacement options to ensure your residents continue to have safe and secure mail delivery options. Please note as of October 2006, USPS STD-4C compliant mailbox systems are mandatory on all new construction and major renovations.
About Vertical Mailboxes
Auth Florence Vertical Mailboxes are constructed of durable, heavy-gauge extruded aluminum. The standard aluminum or gold speck finishes can be shipped within 48 hours and the other 9 powder-coated finish choices will increase the lead time by 2 weeks. These units are made to resist scratches, dents and corrosion for many years of use. Please note these mailboxes are not rated for outdoor use and should be protected from direct exposure to weather.
The Vertical Mailboxes provide extra security with a unique three-point locking system. Each unit door features a 5-pin cylinder cam lock with two keys and 1,000 key changes. Clear plastic number slots are provided for identification as a standard. We also offer free doorbells for each tenant box mounted at the base of their mailbox. Each tenant standard mail compartment is 16-1/2" H x 5" W x 6" D with a door size of 16" H x 5-1/2" W. The Mail Drop unit is 16-1/2"H x 10"W x 6"D with a door size 16"H x 11"W. Vertical mailboxes feature three mounting options:
- Fully-recessed models mount flush with the wall and require a minimum of 6 ¾” wall depth.
- Semi-recessed models require a minimum wall depth of 3 ¾” and will extend approximately 3 inches from the wall.
- Surface mounted models require no minimum wall depth and will extend from the wall 6 7/8” inches.
